Gorgona is an ideal base for exploring beautiful Ios, also known as “the jewel of the Cyclades”, as it is only 7 minutes by car or bus (there is a departure point right outside the property) from the island’s famous Chora and its exquisite chapels.
Strategically located at the edge of the 1 km long beach of Mylopotas, Gorgona offers you peace and tranquillity. At the same time, a few hundred meters away, beach bars, water sports facilities and diving centres await you. In addition, boats depart daily from Mylopotas that take you to the various beaches that Ios is known for.
To reach our accommodation, you can use the bus from the port to Mylopotas. The last stop is in front of Gorgona, and the journey takes about 10 minutes. Near Gorgona, you will find everything else you may need (traditional taverns, bakery, supermarket, ATM, etc.) to make your stay more comfortable.
The traditional Perivoli house, which belongs to Gorgona’s owners, is located inland, about 700m from Mylopotas beach, and offers partial sea and mountain views.
Gorgona Apartments: 1 meter. Our apartments are situated right on the sand of Mylopotas Beach, on its south side.
Perivoli House: 700 meters. Our house is located 700 meters away from Gorgona Apartments and the beach.
3,5 km. The port is quite close and to reach Gorgona Apartments, you can take the bus from the port towards Mylopotas. Our accommodation is located right at the final stop.
2,8 km. The capital of Ios Island can be reached by a bus, a taxi or by your own means of transport. You will be there within minutes.
Gorgona Apartments: 10 meters. There is a seafront tavern right next to our apartments. There are also countless dining options on Mylopotas Beach.
Perivoli House: 700 meters. This is the distance to the tavern right next to Gorgona Apartments.
